Most people arrive on this page with one of three problems. Food that sits heavily for hours after a meal. Bloating that shows by the evening and is gone by the morning. Or a gut that has become unpredictable and stays that way no matter what you change. They are different problems, they need different formulas, and treating them as one thing is why so many people cycle through supplements without finding one that works.

This collection has six formulas. Each one is built for a specific situation, and the guide below explains which is which.

The three problems, in detail

Problem one: a specific meal. You eat a normal dinner and feel like you swallowed a brick. It is not every meal, it is the rich ones, the restaurant ones, the ones with a lot of protein or fat. This is a capacity problem. Your body produces digestive enzymes, and when a meal arrives that needs more than you have on hand, the meal sits there while the process catches up. It is situational and it responds to support taken with the meal.

Problem two: the gut itself. Bloating that comes on through the day, gas after eating, an unpredictable morning routine. This is not about one meal, it is about the balance of what lives in your gut and how well the lining does its job. It does not resolve meal by meal. It responds to daily support over weeks.

Problem three: regularity and transit. Things have slowed down. You feel full before you have eaten. There is a heaviness low in the abdomen that never fully clears. This is usually a fibre and motility question, and it needs bulk rather than herbs alone.

Which formula to choose

  • Digestive Enzymes if the problem is a specific meal. One capsule with food, six declared enzyme activities with their units, working on the meal in front of you rather than on your gut long term. This is the one to reach for before a heavy dinner, not every day.
  • Probiotic 40B if the problem is the gut itself. 40 billion CFU across four named strains, with prebiotics to feed them and a delivery coating so they survive the stomach. This is a daily formula, and it takes two to four weeks before the change is obvious.
  • Colostrum if your gut has become fragile or unpredictable. 2,300mg with 575mg of immunoglobulin G. Where a probiotic adds bacteria, colostrum works on the lining those bacteria live on, which is the part most people skip.
  • Daily Detox if the problem is regularity and bloating together. Eleven botanicals plus psyllium, so there is actual fibre and not just herbs. Gentle enough for daily use, which is not true of most cleanses.
  • Liver Support if heavy meals and alcohol leave you sluggish. Milk thistle, 300mg of turmeric, dandelion and artichoke. The liver processes everything you take in, and when it is working well the whole digestive day is easier.
  • GLP-1 Comfort if your appetite has changed and your digestion has not caught up. Ginger, peppermint, enzymes and a spore-forming probiotic, built for the queasy early weeks of eating much less.

If two of these sound like you, which is common, start with the one that matches your daily experience rather than your occasional one. The formulas stack well together.

What the research says about the key ingredients

Enzymes are measured in activity units, not milligrams. This is the single most important thing to understand in this category. Protease is measured in HUT, lipase in FIP, lactase in LACU, bromelain in GDU. A blend that lists only milligram weights is telling you nothing about how much digestive work it can actually do. When you compare two enzyme products, compare the units.

Probiotic strains do different things and the count alone is meaningless. A product with 50 billion CFU of a single strain is not better than one with 40 billion across four. The strains need to be named so you can check whether they are the ones studied for what you want. And the delivery matters: stomach acid kills most probiotics before they arrive, which is why a protective coating is not a marketing detail.

Fibre is the missing piece in most cleanses. Herbal cleanses that skip fibre tend to produce urgency rather than regularity. Psyllium provides bulk, which is the mechanical part of the job, and the botanicals work alongside it.

Turmeric needs help to absorb. Curcumin on its own is poorly absorbed. Black pepper extract increases it substantially, which is why the formulas here include it rather than leaving it out to save cost.

How to judge any supplement in this category

Four checks, in order of how often they catch a bad product.

One. Does it declare the dose? A proprietary blend on the label means the amounts are hidden. In this category that almost always means the amounts are small.

Two. Does it name the form? Magnesium glycinate rather than magnesium. Lactase in LACU rather than an unstated enzyme. The form decides whether the ingredient does anything.

Three. Does it name the strains or the species? "A proprietary probiotic blend" tells you nothing about whether it is the strain you need.

Four. Is the count real? A supplement that has to say "up to" before a number is telling you the number varies.

Common questions

Can I take digestive enzymes every day? You can, but they are built for meals rather than for daily maintenance, so most people use them when they need them.

How long before a probiotic works? Two to four weeks for most people. The first week can be an adjustment period. If nothing has changed by week four, the strain mix is probably not the right one for you.

Do I need a cleanse if I take a probiotic? They do different jobs. A probiotic adds to the population, a fibre-based cleanse supports the transit that carries waste out. Some people want both.

Can I take these together? Yes. Most people run one daily formula plus enzymes for the meals that need them.

Will a cleanse make me cramp? A fibre-based one should not. If a cleanse is producing cramping, the problem is usually that it is herbs without bulk, and you should stop.

How to take them

Enzymes go with food, at the start of the meal. Probiotics and colostrum go in the morning, on an empty stomach or with breakfast, consistently at the same time. Detox and liver support go with your heaviest meal. Consistency matters more than timing precision, with the exception of enzymes, which do nothing if they are not in the meal.
